Make a nice vegetable side or some rice to make this a full meal, or use it as a small plate when you're entertaining.
Serves: 1 Time: 15 minutes Difficulty: So easy
- 6 shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 c. stock
- 1/4 c. white wine
- salt, pepper, oil
- chives or another fresh herb to garnish
- a few lemon wedges
Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
Heat 1 T. of oil in a skillet. Cook the shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side, just so they get a nice carmelization. Remove them and set them aside.
Add the paprika and garlic, letting them bloom in the oil for one minute.
Add the wine, let it reduce by half, then add in the stock. Bring it up to a simmer and add the shrimp back to the pan, letting them cook another 1-2 minutes.
Plate in a shallow bowl and garnish with fresh herbs and a few lemon wedges.
