Peel and Eat Shrimp

Recently, I had peel and eat shrimp out at a restaurant, and my friend and I just couldn’t be sure if it was the shrimp or the buffalo wings we had that made both of our tummies upset.  Yet still, I love seafood and copious amounts of Old Bay Seasoning, so to be on the safe side, I decided to make my own at home.

Ingredients:

- ½ lb. shell-on, de-veined shrimp
- 2 T. Old Bay seasoning
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 2 T. butter, melted
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. peppercorns
- 1 tsp. coriander seeds
- 1 lemon, juiced

Add the coriander, bay and peppercorns to a small pot.  Set a strainer over a small pot of boiling water.  Add the shrimp and sprinkle them with half of the Old Bay.  Let them steam, turning once, just until they turn pink; approximately 5 minutes.  Plate the shrimp and season with the remaining Old Bay.  Squeeze the lemon over the shrimp and serve with the melted butter.
