Crabby Mary Cocktail

Today, I was really craving all of the flavors in a bloody mary.  Since I had some crab in my fridge to use up, I decided to meld the two together.  You can go several routes for the crab meat in this recipe.  You can buy a container of already picked crab meat, steam it at home yourself, or ask the guy/gal at the fish counter to steam it for you.

Crabby Mary Cocktail

- ½ c. steamed crab

- ½ c. arugula

- 1 ½ T. Old Bay seasoning

- 1 T. hot sauce

- 1 ½ T. horseradish

- 1 T. Worstershire sauce

- 1 tsp. celery salt

- cracked black pepper

- ½ lemon, juiced

- ¼ c. cocktail sauce

Squeeze the lemon juice over the crab.  Sprinkle it with 1 T. of the Old Bay seasoning and toss to combine.

Mix together the all of the remaining ingredients except the arugula.  Taste and add more salt and pepper as needed.

Put the arugula into a glass or bowl.  Top with the majority of the cocktail sauce and finish with the crab meat.  Put the final dollop of cocktail sauce on top of the crab.
