Bone Marrow with Roasted Garlic

This sounds so fancy, as bone marrow is something that I can never resist ordering at a restaurant.  But believe me, it doesn't get easier than this.

Bone Marrow with Roasted Garlic

- marrow bones (1-2 per person)
- baguette, sliced
- 1 head of garlic
- salt
- pepper
- olive oil

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Cut the top off of the head of garlic.  Put it in a piece of aluminum foil and drizzle it with olive oil.  Season it with salt and pepper and wrap the foil tightly around the garlic.  Put it in the oven and let it roast for 45 minutes, or until it is tender.

Place the marrow bones on a cookie sheet.  Drizzle them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Put the cookie sheet and roast them for 30-45 minutes, or until the marrow is translucent.

Serve the bones and garlic with the sliced baguette.  You can certainly toast the bread if you like, as well.
